Save Nature
Lets make this a better place to live in..
Before you start reading this article, DO YOU EVER THINK OF saving this NATURE for future generations
Most of us are never part of any event or effort that could save this great gift of nature and it is my strong belief that our day to day activity can make a big difference.
Every one of us knows about global warming and underground water level depleting.
I believe in using stuff if it is required. I mean, I don’t believe in wasting things.
When I was child, I use to study and watch in television about saving water, energy, and not wasting food. But I never use to bother about those things as like most of the other children of my age. It was always the advice of my parents to not waste food, water and other simple things like to switch off the fan and light when not using.
It happened that when I was in 10th Standard I started realising the importance of these things. I am from a well planned industrial city, so we use to have 24 hours electricity and water supply. But when I use to see in television that in my country there are so many places where there is no electricity or even scarsity of basic drinking water facilities. I use to feel worried. The major source of household drinking water is underground water. From then onwards, I started believing in saving these things as much as possible, means using just as per requirement.
The first time I went to college after leaving my family and started hostel life. Interacting with different people and seeing what they do, that made me think even more towards my belief. It was a hard reality that I found only one of my classmates who shared my thinking and strongly believed in these things. Not a single soul was ever bothered about saving the natural resources. It was a daily sight for me to see people keeping room light switched on while going out of room, wasting food in college cafeteria. My friend (class-mate) and I use to tell them about no wasting electricity, water and food. But most of them use to argue that how a single person can make a difference. Every time we use to tell them, thousands pearls of water make a mighty ocean. But still, there was no real change in anyone though, I was successful in changing one or two guys.
Then after completing my college I started working as software engineer in a company in a different city. There also I use to encourage other people about saving electricity, water and not wasting food. But the same argument I use to hear from them.
Still wherever I find opportunity I try to encourage people and make them aware towards these basic things.
I feel pity about a person who loves to converse about TV shows. Politics sports and seems to know about everything in today’s world, but when you talk with him about these basic things he does not consider it important. Some times the person takes it personal and thinks I am wasting his time over unnecessary advice. He thinks, he is educated enough to not to get any lessons/advice from anybody else about these basic things, but the fact is you are not bothered. Even our education system does not teach children in such a way that they start implementing, it’s just a text written in text book.
I want to appeal to everybody, after reading this article please try to save nature in whatever way possible. You love your children, so start thinking about better future and friendly nature for them as well.
Some simple steps to follow, though you all know but still I want to jot it down.
Save electricity - People have miss-conception that they pay money to get electricity but the fact is your money does not generate electricity, its natural resource like coal (50% of world electricity is generated using coal by emitting so much of green house gases which affects Ozone layer). Try to be more near to nature, I mean try to use natural lights at day time maximum, if you can stay in house without air conditioner or fan then please don’t switch it on. Whenever not using, please switch off the light/fan/AC/heater etc.
Save water - Don’t keep tap open if you are not using the water. I have seen so many people keeping water tap open while shaving, toothbrush etc. That’s a bad habit please change your habit. Don’t take it personal.
Don’t waste food - So many poor people can have access to those extra food.
If you can walk to office or shop instead of commuting by vehicle, then please do. If you can do car pool, then please do.
At last if we think we love our children, then it’s our responsibility to give them safe and better environment to live in.
I don’t know how much impact this article will have on your daily activity, but certainly this is for our better future.
Please do follow these basic things in your daily activities and make a difference to the nature even without involving yourself directly with any organization that works towards this cause.
Thanks and Regards
A simple person like you.

Your this step to educate and let them aware millions of people is virey nice step.Very few people realise this.Only I can say that I will adhere the point which you have mantiones. I am there with your mission
I would like to thouw light on some of the facts at the same tme
Although "GREEN REVOLUTION " doubled and tripled crop yields all over the world But still the current figure shows that stillo one-third of people in Sub-Saharan Africa suffer from chronic hunger.
Now major issues before us is poverty reduction and global warming.
According to the report, one in three urban dwellers (roughly 1 billion people globally), live in a "slum" with little or no access to clean water.
When we look into the fact of our country that
We are soon going to the world's most populous country. and at the same time we will face the scarecity of water. So it is need of the hour to conserve water. In order to quench its thirst for water in the future, we must harvest rainfall more effectively and efficiently.
A Very well written post, that I guess must have come from the bottom of your heart! I appreciate your sentiment and share your thoughts on this matter. All the points that you pointed out are present in the syllablus of modern education, however only to be memorized for an exam. The problem is we have only literacy and not education. True education would only come from teachers who lead the way and show a generation the perils of wastage of natural resources. Unfortunately we are too busy in jumping into the urban vision of modernization, we don't have time for such old ideas!! Time will come when all those of us who laughed at people like you slap their forehead and say "If only I had taken nature seriously".
